Recommendations
Trailer servicing is recommended at various different intervals, these depend on the type of use, and the frequency of use. We recommend roughly every 3000miles or sooner a heavy type of use, we do also recommend that marine trailers are serviced at the end of the season as these even with fixed washout systems are still prone to high levels of corrosion, and if left through a period can prove to e detrimental.
It is also highly important to have sound tyres on your trailer as it is a common misconception that trailer tyres do not carry any penalisation should they be lower than the minimum set standard of 1.6mm tread across 2/3rds of the tyre, they must not be cracked or perished, if the tyres on your trailer are found to not meet the minimum road legal standard, you are liable for 3 points and £2500 fine per every tyre.

Included in the price of the service is the following, Electrical checks all road lights and any other standard fitted system, When bearings checked for play and smooth operation, Tyres checked for perishing tread depth and general wear, Brake drums removed and friction surfaces checked for wear and material levels, Brake actuators checked and lubricated as appropriate, Jokey wheel greased and checked for wear and free movement, Hitch checked for wear and overrun dampener checked for leaks and correct operation.
Trailers that are fitted with one shot nuts will be charged additionally for these
The prices above are subject to vat at 20% and any parts required will be additional on the price of the service, this will be communicated with the customer before the order or fitment of replacement parts.
Our Technicians
Our technicians background is in precision engineering and gearbox building having served an apprenticeship in a local machine tool factory. Then moving on to be a race technician for a historic touring car team in Europe and more recently has been cruising round the world as an engineer on board various different super yachts traveling to as far flung places as Antarctica.
